You Can Make a Difference. Now is the Time!
Opportunities abound to change the availability, affordability,
and accessibility of transportation in Texas. Over the past three years
the success of Just Transportation Alliance partners has open the door
for even greater improvements in transit, walk- or wheel-ability, development
that is more people friendly, and the coordination of all of these in
community across Texas.
The combination of newly enacted federal regulations,
a state and federal budget crises, the rapid population growth of our
elders, the Olmstead decision (MS Word doc) as well as a severe lack
of mobility in our metropolitan areas have combined to help focus investment
and elected officials on the issues.
Your voice, harmonized through consensus with others
in the community, is needed to help local elected officials and transportation
decision makers understand the challenges that need to be faced and
solved. Without you, who can tell your unique story and help build that
story into powerful message of mobility for all.

If you live in an alliance area, we will
do as much as we can to set you up for success by providing supports,
trainings, advice, and local partners. If you wish, we can help you
learn more about improving transportation than most learn in a lifetime:
identify transportation issues in your community, plan and implement
winning campaigns for change, work with transportation decision-makers,
craft and deliver a public message, and have fun doing it.

If you do not live in an alliance area, we will
still do what we can help you get the mobility you need. We simply
are limited in how much help and how many resources we can use to
provide support.
